PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To lead and manage the successful execution of capital projects within JIGPC, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards in support of gasification and power production objectives.
JOB OBJECTIVES
- Lead the Full Project Lifecycle: To direct assigned projects from initiation to final handover, ensuring timely and quality delivery aligned with strategic goals.
- Define Scope and Success Criteria: To collaborate with stakeholders to establish clear project scope, objectives, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Develop and Execute Project Plans: To build comprehensive project schedules, resource allocation strategies, and task dependencies using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Manage Budgets and Control Costs: To oversee financial planning, monitor expenditures, and implement corrective actions to stay within approved budgets.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional and External Resources: To align internal departments and external vendors for integrated and efficient project execution.
- Identify and Mitigate Risks: To proactively manage risk registers, mitigation plans, and issue resolution processes to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Engage and Inform Stakeholders: To provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, and milestones through regular updates, dashboards, and meetings.
- Promote Quality, Compliance, and Improvement: To ensure adherence to governance protocols and drive process improvements and lessons learned for future project enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Formal Qualifications/Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field - Essential
A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a strong advantage - Preferred
Job Related Work Experience
8-10 Years of Work experience in project management, preferably in energy, petrochemical, gasification, or power generation sectors, with a strong background in capital project execution and multi-disciplinary coordination - Essential
