Job Summary:

Responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. The technician will diagnose faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support system performance across assigned specialization areas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and service assigned mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform necessary repairs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Replace or repair defective components and ensure proper system operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and system failures.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other technicians on major repairs or upgrades.
  • Manage spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials inventory.
  • Participate in technical and safety training programs to stay updated with industry practices.
  • Support operational teams by providing guidance on proper equipment use when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Requirements:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering 
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance within the specified specialization.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational faults in equipment and systems.
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with tools, instruments, and diagnostic equipment used in maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, health regulations, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to emergency maintenance situations.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage spare parts, tools, and maintenance inventory.
