Job Purpose:
As a Senior Medical Governance & Operations, you will lead the sound and compliant implementation of non-promotional interactions and provide oversight and guidance on patient engagement, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) while identifying and timely mitigating potential governance and or compliance risks within the Medical Affairs functions. You will also ensure alignment with industry codes, local laws, and GSK’s internal control framework.



The Senior Medical Governance & Operations role will be responsible for setting medical operation targets, drive medical KPIs, and generate insights while ensuring audit/inspection preparedness.




Key Responsibilities:



Medical Governance:



  • Develop, localize, and roll out local, regional, or global guidance, policies, and SOPs.
  • Maintain and continuously update a medical log sheet for medical/non-promotional policies and SOPs.
  • Lead management monitoring plans, identify corrective actions (CAPAs), and ensure timely execution.
  • Act as the primary contact for medical governance functions and inspections, ensuring compliance with GSK SOPs, industry codes, and local regulations.
  • Facilitate the medical risk assessment process and maintain a risk register
  • Provide guidance to medical functions and review external medical engagements and/or non-promotional materials.

Medical Operations & Excellence:



  • Monitor and analyze medical KPIs to ensure targets are met, and address deviations with corrective actions.
  • Oversee Medical Affairs plans and budgets while identifying potential risks or deviations.
  • Empower teams to utilize GSK digital tools and platforms effectively to achieve goals.
  • Drive the implementation of ADOPT, LOU, SsOV, and medical analytics to ensure actionable outcomes.
  • Enhance Omni-Channel adoption and maintain alignment with GSK’s framework.
  • Create and maintain the LOC Medical Affairs Portal in compliance with GSK policies.

Key Requirements:



Educational Background:



  • Medical or Pharmacy degree with a certified license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Professional Experience:



  • Proven leadership skills with strong analytical capabilities and risk management expertise.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical managerial role.
  • Demonstrable business acumen, project management experience, and adherence to GSK policies and local regulations.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively and make objective decisions.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
