The team is part of our wider Global Construction Disputes & Advisory business, which consist of over 200 highly experienced capital project specialists, located all over the world. 


This is a key role, operating in a fast-paced culture, and will suit a candidate with the ambition and desire to grow and develop in the project advisory world, whilst we provide the opportunity and training to support you in that endeavour, including excellent networking opportunities. The role will involve frequent client interaction, including preparing and presenting results. 


You will be part of a talented team of project advisory specialists working on some of the world’s most interesting and significant projects.


The international nature of our work means that successful candidates should be prepared to travel globally, sometimes at short notice. You will have the opportunity to broaden your experience by working on complex and landmark projects in the construction and engineering sector all over the globe.

Responsibilities 


We’re looking for bright and ambitious individuals. We’re a small team that is growing quickly and you’ll play an integral part of that growth. You’ll work as part of a project advisory team, delivering client engagements with considerable contact with our clients. As a Director, your role will include: 


  • Developing strategies to help clients deliver their projects successfully and transform performance. 


  • Helping clients understand how their projects are performing and helping them intervene when things go wrong, or before they go wrong.


  • Working alongside our clients, providing them with strategic advice and insights.


  • Participating in the development of our business and supporting in the preparation of bids and proposals, and client pitches.


  • Supporting the operational management and development of our team.


  • Be involved in preparing various analyses that supports our advice and adds value to our clients.


  • An individual is required who can perform advanced data research, management, and analysis.


  • This role will involve frequent client interaction and may require the successful candidate to prepare and makes presentations to communicate results.


Requirements


We are interested in candidates from a range of sectors and whilst it would be ideal, you don’t necessarily need prior experience in a consulting environment.   As an integral member of our team, you will have:- 


  • You will have a background in construction, engineering, or quantity surveying with a related degree.


  • Professional chartered memberships preferred e.g., RICS, ICE.


  • Broad experience across a range of large infrastructure construction projects (oil & gas, infrastructure, buildings, public works).


  • Demonstrable Planning or Project Management experience skills including compiling and/or reviewing claims.


  • Have a good understanding of project controls and associated management systems.


  • You will be an experienced people manager running small teams, comfortable delegating and actively supporting the development of junior members of the team.


  • You may not yet be generating leads but are comfortable actively networking and leveraging your personal and professional network to benefit the team, and the wider company.


  • Be able to analyse and assess project data and documentation.


  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships. 


  • Good analytical and data management skills are a must.


  • Good team working skills and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure within a team or as an individual.


  • Be highly motivated, self-starting, curious and have a hunger to learn and develop yourself through various means and formats, not just paid training courses.


  • Be agile and flexible, comfortable with ambiguity and be able to apply yourself to new situations. 


  • Be self-aware, enjoy working in a team environment and collaborating with others. 


  • Have experience in one or more of the following areas: business case and feasibility, procurement, project setup, contracts and commercial management, project controls, monitoring and reporting, governance, assurance, turnaround, disputes. 


  • Have solid analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in data analysis techniques and technology (e.g., Excel, PowerBI).


  • Fluent in English and Arabic is essential.


  • Travel flexible both national and international.


  • Demonstrate an eagerness to help build a team with others towards a shared objective and be measured on the same.
