As a Senior Sales Engineer – Aftersales (Retrofit), you’ll play a key role in driving retrofit and service sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and expanding SKM’s after-sales footprint across the region.
Role Overview
The Production Manager will lead and oversee all manufacturing and assembly operations within the HVAC production facility in KSA. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production output, adherence to quality and safety standards, and effective utilization of workforce, materials, and equipment. The Production Manager will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Quality—to ensure timely delivery of products and continuous optimization of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate brings extensive HVAC industry experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of managing complex production environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
Oversee day‑to‑day production operations across assembly lines and fabrication workshops. Ensure achievement of production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions when required. Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
2. Planning & Coordination
Develop and maintain production schedules in coordination with Planning, Procurement, and Engineering teams. Review material availability, machine capacity, and manpower allocation to prevent downtime. Support new product introductions and engineering modifications within the production environment.
3. Process Improvement
Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies. Optimize workflows and production layouts to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve throughput.
4. Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, internal quality procedures, and customer specifications. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address non‑conformities and implement corrective actions. Enforce strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
5. Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams to achieve performance targets. Conduct performance evaluations and support training and skill‑development initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
6. Reporting & Systems
Prepare production reports, performance dashboards, and variance analyses. Utilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for planning, tracking, and reporting production activities. Ensure accurate data entry and monitoring of inventory, production orders, and capacity utilization.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
15–20 years of experience in manufacturing or production roles within the HVAC industry. Strong background managing both assembly operations and fabrication workshops. Minimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role within a manufacturing setup.
Technical Skills
In-depth knowledge of HVAC equipment manufacturing, including:Package AC Units Air Handling Units (AHU) Chillers Refrigeration systems Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and productivity enhancement tools. Solid understanding of ISO standards, quality systems, and safety regulations.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, especially under pressure. Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and drive operational performance.
Additional Requirements
Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic factory environment.
