Job Summary The Senior Mechanical Inspector is responsible for supervising and performing mechanical inspection activities to ensure fabrication, installation, welding, testing, and commissioning works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, international codes, and client quality requirements. The role supports safe execution of work in line with ARAMCO standards and applicable quality systems.

Roles & Responsibilities (R&R) Carry out and lead mechanical inspection activities for piping, pressure vessels, tanks, structural welding, and associated mechanical works. Verify compliance with applicable codes and standards including ASME, API, AWS, and ANSI piping standards. Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control procedures. Monitor welding activities, welding qualifications (WPS, PQR, WPQ), and ensure compliance with ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1. Witness and evaluate NDT activities such as MT, PT, UT, VT, and Radiographic Testing (RTFI). Ensure proper implementation of quality management systems and corrective actions for NCRs. Coordinate with contractors, third-party inspectors, and client representatives during inspections. Review inspection reports, NDT results, and certification documents for completeness and compliance. Ensure all inspection records are properly documented and maintained as per project requirements. Support project teams in achieving quality, safety, and schedule objectives.
Mandatory Requirements Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant inspection discipline with minimum 4 years of inspection experience,ORIndustrial/Technical College Diploma with minimum 8 years of relevant mechanical inspection experience. Proven experience and knowledge of applicable codes and standards including ANSI B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME Section V & IX, API 510, 570, 620, 650, and AWS D1.1. Strong knowledge of international inspection standards and practices. Sound understanding of Quality Management Systems and inspection methodologies. Adequate knowledge and exposure to NDT methods such as MT, PT, UT, VT, and RTFI. Valid international Welding Inspector certification such as AWS or CSWIP.
