Purpose The Director – Legal is responsible for leading and overseeing all legal affairs of the organization. The role ensures effective legal governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management, while delivering strategic, business-focused legal advice to the CEO and Board of Directors. The position supports diverse business operations including Integrated Logistics and Operational Activities.
Responsibilities Serve as a principal legal advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, providing clear, pragmatic, and risk-balanced legal guidance. Lead the management and oversight of long-term concession agreements across all business segments. Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi laws, regulations, and capital market requirements. Oversee legal support related to corporate governance, board processes, and statutory and regulatory filings. Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, including joint ventures, restructurings, and high-value commercial agreements. Manage and coordinate external legal counsel to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective legal services. Establish, mentor, and lead a capable legal team supporting operations across multiple regions. Provide legal guidance on capital markets transactions and ensure alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks. Track legal and regulatory developments and proactively assess their implications for the organization.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); a Master’s degree is an advantage. At least 12 years of progressive experience in senior legal leadership roles, ideally within infrastructure, logistics, or other highly regulated sectors. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex concession agreements and regulatory compliance matters. In-depth knowledge of Saudi legal and regulatory frameworks, including capital markets regulations. Proven ability to build, lead, and manage high-performing legal teams across multiple locations. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. High standards of professional ethics, integrity, and sound legal judgment. Fluency in both Arabic and English.
