About the role



As a Key Account Manager (Institutional Accounts) at GSK, you will implement GSK’s customer management approach with assigned institutional accounts to help ensure appropriate and timely access to our medicines. You will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across hospitals and institutional customers, work collaboratively with distributors, and support demand planning and stock availability in your territory.




Key responsibilities



  • Execute all activities in line with GSK SOPs, policies and applicable local regulations.
  • Represent GSK professionally with assigned key accounts and stakeholders.
  • Identify, segment and prioritize institutional accounts; map decision-makers and understand their objectives and procurement drivers.
  • Develop and maintain senior-level business partner relationships; negotiate mutually acceptable value propositions.
  • Collaborate with distributors to monitor stock levels and ensure product availability on shelf to meet clinical demand.
  • Provide monthly AMU and forecasting inputs to support demand planning and performance management.
  • Contribute to marketing planning for established and newly launched brands within institutional accounts.
  • Support initiatives to optimize gross-to-net performance and control R&A in collaboration with finance and commercial teams.
  • Use GSK systems (e.g., e-SMS, e-Form) to track stock, expiry, and hospital introduction status for new launches.
  • Prepare annual strategic account plans and provide timely market intelligence and feedback.
  • Maintain required certifications and demonstrate disease and product knowledge per GSK standards.
  • Meet defined commercial KPIs and completion of field activities on schedule.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, support capability development, and live GSK values.

Qualifications and experience



  • Pharmacy degree with valid Saudi Health Council (SHCC) registration.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Medical Representative; institutional sector experience preferred (e.g., MODA, NG, KFSH).
  • Experience in purchasing, stock management or product access desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key account management and business plan development.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
  • Prior experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company preferred.
  • Saudi national preferred.
