To conduct vessel inspection and evaluation on KJO areas of responsibility that would include data collection on sea bed position, tidal or oceanic data and other related information to ensure that the company is provided with the required information that is needed for all sea level activities

Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Assists in the development and implementation of section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled
Day- to-day operations
- Conduct ship inspection and evaluation prior to charter.
- Carry out spot and schedule inspection of vessel to ensure compliance with classification , company and SOLAS requirements
- Monitor and review ship crew qualifications.
- Monitor vessel certification to ensure compliance to company marine standards and IACS class and SOLAS requirements.
Survey Schedules
- Formulates schedules and detailed working plan for hydrographic survey trips by selecting appropriate methods, survey areas, routes, scales, projection and proper equipment in order to ensure that overall department programs are supported with timely conduct of surveys
- Perform bi-annual survey of all vessels to ensure compliance to company marine standards.
Data Analysis
- Processes and analyzes data gathered by using special software and programs that would result to hydrographical presentations of sea bed location and position that would be beneficial to any underwater activities
Task Assignments
- Instructs Surveyor to carry out a periodical survey trip to Ex-Loading Dock, G/Station and Hout Oil Field to collect tidal/oceanic data that will be used for further analysis and interpretations
- Asses the skill level of tug master and officers
Equipment Maintenance
- Supervises the conduct of maintenance of computer hardware and software for survey and hydrographic data processing, including Auto CAD, calibration of computerized survey equipment, and Global Positioning System to ensure that all devices are properly functioning at all times
Coordination
- Closely coordinates with related departments and divisions with regards to their hydrographic survey requirements to ensure that an immediate and prompt assistance to their requests
Reporting
- Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate departmental reports which conform to Company and department requirements, policies and standards
Budget
- Assists in the preparation of the marine survey budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed.
Safety, Health & Environment
- Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures in the section in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Review STCW certification of competence and safety of all offshore crew members and officers.
