Lead Civil Engineer
Responsibilities:
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Specialist in the design of Site Grading, Site Development, Site Drainage, Oily Water Systems, Plumbing and Fencing Works, etc...
Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practice and principles, calculation methods, design for oily water systems, storm drainage, piping hydraulic calculations, road design, design of site grading, site development, site drainage, fencing systems, well versed with International Codes and Standards such as IBC, AASHTO, API, PIP, ACI, AISC, ASTM, etc
Strong knowledge and experience in using Civil 3D, Water GEM, Auto TURN, Sewer GEM, Navisworks, SP3D, Arc GIS; Revit, Auto CAD and Microstation.etc
Coordinates with project senior civil engineers to ensure correct implementation of the project design and coordinates the work of engineers within his specialty. Prepares and reviews civil engineering studies, design drawings, calculations and documents, and material and equipment specifications. Resolves specialty related civil engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards. Analyzes problems and determines critical factors for investigation. Organizes and conducts investigations and analysis. Participates in the development of new civil engineering methods. Provides expert advice on design processes or construction methods. Approves significant changes in specifications and plans, work techniques and materials. Determines and schedules work priorities. Prepares civil engineering proposals estimates. Ensures quality plans are implemented. Ensures adherence to applicable standards and procedures.
AUTHORITY/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides employees with training and development opportunities. Accountable for quality of work of subordinates, including those who supervise others. Being accountable for unit deliverables. Approves timesheets.
Requirements:
BS in Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with 15 years of significant experience. Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and is recognized as specialist in civil engineering field on large to mega projects. Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
