Job Description:
Our Client
Our client is a well-established industrial organization with a significant operational footprint across Saudi Arabia. The business operates within a highly asset-intensive, mission-critical environment and plays a key role in supporting national infrastructure and development priorities.
The organization is entering a new phase of operational maturity and technology modernization, aligned with Vision 2030 objectives. There is a strong focus on governance, resilience, and ensuring that core technology platforms reliably support business continuity and future growth.
The Role
The Head of Technology Operations will be accountable for the end-to-end stability, performance, and resilience of enterprise IT operations across multiple sites. This role carries responsibility for infrastructure, networks, data centres, cloud operations, and IT service delivery within a 24/7 operational environment.
The role will lead technology operations teams, manage strategic vendors, and act as the primary escalation point for major incidents. A key focus will be maintaining uptime, strengthening operational discipline, improving service quality, and managing technology risk, while supporting controlled modernization initiatives such as cloud adoption and automation.
This position will work closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders to ensure IT operations are aligned with operational priorities, safety requirements, and long-term organizational objectives.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned IT operations leader with extensive experience managing enterprise-scale infrastructure and service environments. A background in industrial, manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, or similarly mission-critical sectors is strongly preferred.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong leadership experience running IT operations teams in complex environments
- Proven ownership of infrastructure, networks, data centres, and disaster recovery
- Hands-on experience with IT service management, incident escalation, and risk control
- Confidence managing vendors, SLAs, and operational budgets
- The ability to balance stability, security, and cost while supporting gradual modernization
Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is highly desirable. Arabic is beneficial but not essential; leadership maturity, governance awareness, and operational credibility are critical.
