Job Summary
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies at the solar project site. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, company standards, and client safety procedures, with the objective of achieving zero accidents and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesHSE Compliance & Implementation
Implement project-specific HSE plans, procedures, and method statements.
Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, client standards, and company HSE policies.
Conduct daily site safety inspections and report unsafe acts/conditions.
Ensure proper use of PPE by all site personnel.
Risk Assessment & Control
Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Risk Assessments for site activities.
Identify hazards related to solar installation, electrical works, working at height, lifting operations, and excavation.
Recommend and implement control measures.
Site Monitoring & Supervision
Training & Awareness
Conduct site safety inductions for workers, subcontractors, and visitors.
Organize toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Promote safety culture among workforce.
Incident Management
Report, investigate, and document accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Prepare incident investigation reports and corrective action plans.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain HSE records, permits, checklists, and inspection logs.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly safety reports.
Assist in audits and inspections.
Emergency Preparedness
Ensure emergency response plans are in place.
Conduct mock drills (fire, electrical shock, fall rescue, etc.).
Ensure availability and maintenance of fire-fighting and first-aid equipment.
