Job Summary:


Emerson, Flow controls is a leading manufacturer in producing control valve products and providing flow control solutions.The Senior Order Engineer, Middle East and Africa, must support the Order engineering team members in converting the customer purchase order from Sales and LBP teams into accurate Bills of materials (BOM) and release the order to MEA factories. She / he drives continuous improvement on metrics and help the cross functional teams from sales to operations in delivering all phases of orders on time exceeding customer’s expectations.


The Senior Order Engineer co-ordinates the team located in Dubai - UAE, Jubail - Saudi Arabia and Fisher 


Chennai Engineering Center - India 


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


  • Check the metrics & KPI’s to track performance against department/company goals & objectives
  • Actively support Order Engineering team to achieve the on-time and RFT targets
  • Provide the Engineering lead time for MEA sourced MRO and Project orders.
  • Schedule the orders to the team members based on the workload, analyze & resolve issues
  • affecting productivity
  • Review clean orders reports/feedbacks from Order engineers and drive improvement/correction
  • programs with Order Administration team, LBP’s & Sales.
  • Support the team members in preparing Bills of Materials for MRO and Project orders to achieve
  • on-time results
  • Provide technical support to initiate request for new design or special constructions
  • Support change order owner in determining the change order charges and delivery impact
  • Support Sales/application team on the Replacements orders and RSPPL preparations
  • Support operations team on the lead time quotes, manufacturing feasibility check, alternate
  • materials, avoid /minimize rework and mitigate risk
  • Support the Order engineers and facilitate their training needs so that they are technically capable 
  • to handle all type of products that are manufactured in MEA 
  • Implement LEAN working procedures to insure fast & accurate release of Bill of Material to 
  • factories
  • Responsible for the preparing of the monthly reports addressing throughput, backlog based on 
  • the Oracle system
  • Responsible for preparing RFT quality metrics based on Material review board meetings 
  • Represent Order Engineering team on MEA review meetings 
  • Attend Global meetings and represent MEA WA on initiatives related to Order Engineering.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection 
  • with all transactions and business practices 
  • Attend post award & Kickoff meetings and work with Project Management, LBPs, Sales 
  • Development & Support (SD&S) and Order Administration to ensure customer order 
  • requirements are accurately and completely input to order processing and manufacturing 
  • systems

For This Role, You Will Need:


  • Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering. 
  • Experience in highly Mechanical / Design / Technology focused role. 
  • 5+ years’ overall experience in control valves (Sales & Application, Order Engineering, 
  • Manufacturing) 
  • 3+ years’ experience in Bill of Material preparation 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:


  • Knowledge in SAP, Oracle Business system, Microsoft or any other ERP system is mandatory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong Management, organizational, planning, analysis and decision-making skills 
  • Relevant process automation/control industry business knowledge 
  • Commercial & finance awareness/skills 
  • Solution-oriented
