About the Job


An opportunity has arisen for Electrical LV/MV Technician Engineering to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar


The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-ups, and collect operational data for Medium Voltage electrical systems, including power metering and monitoring systems


  • Implement and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for MV electrical systems in accordance with approved maintenance plans and schedules.


  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, switchgear, control panels, UPS, generators, and emergency systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.


  • Manage and maintain accurate maintenance reports, logs, and performance records.


  • Perform testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection systems.


  • Testing of components such as Current Transformers (CT), Voltage Transformers (VT), Circuit Breakers (CBs), and Busbars.


  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in guest rooms, kitchens, laundry, HVAC systems, back-of-house, and other operational areas with minimal disruption to guests.


About You


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Trade.


  • 2–3 years’ MV maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.


  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.


  • Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, Siemens MV switchgears, transformers, breakers, motors, PTs/CTs/CCVTs, generators, load banks, ATS panels, SCADA, and MV standards.


  • Minimum Grade 10 education with a good moral background.


  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


  • Ability to read drawings and apply electrical safety and permit-to-work systems.
