About the Job
An opportunity has arisen for Electrical LV/MV Technician – Engineering to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-ups, and collect operational data for Medium Voltage electrical systems, including power metering and monitoring systems
Implement and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for MV electrical systems in accordance with approved maintenance plans and schedules.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, switchgear, control panels, UPS, generators, and emergency systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Manage and maintain accurate maintenance reports, logs, and performance records.
Perform testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection systems.
Testing of components such as Current Transformers (CT), Voltage Transformers (VT), Circuit Breakers (CBs), and Busbars.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in guest rooms, kitchens, laundry, HVAC systems, back-of-house, and other operational areas with minimal disruption to guests.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Trade.
2–3 years’ MV maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, Siemens MV switchgears, transformers, breakers, motors, PTs/CTs/CCVTs, generators, load banks, ATS panels, SCADA, and MV standards.
Minimum Grade 10 education with a good moral background.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to read drawings and apply electrical safety and permit-to-work systems.
