Job Purpose:
The role will be responsible for the delivery of field Operations and maintenance activities across Dry LV utility within the infrastructure realm of RSU, ensuring seamless support for all field-based users of Dry LV Utilities services. This role will be in-charge of planning & handling end to end field operations and maintenance processes specific to Dry LV utility infrastructure within RSU. He / She shall ensure flawless functional execution towards up-keep of necessary Dry LV infrastructure through on-site teams deployed on-ground by providing clear directions & necessary decision support. This role shall also contribute towards promoting continuous improvement across operational methods adopted by the department. The role will work closely with all RSU / RSG departments together with the asset owners. The role will also assist in managing the maintenance and reliability strategy, field operational objectives, and field maintenance operations. Ensure overall functioning of field operations and maintenance within stipulated budget and timelines established within RSU.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Contribution Provide inputs to leadership on daily reporting and operational and maintenance issues and improvements. Support in the formulation of functional strategies and roadmaps required to manage seamless delivery of field operations & maintenance services across Dry LV utilities thereby aligned to RSU goals. Ensure maintenance and operation of all Dry LV utility assets (design, delivery and commissioning of generation, transmission and distribution power systems and networks) to maximum efficiency and reliability. Ensure prompt attending to operational faults or maintenance repairs within Dry LV utilities section and provide resolution within agreed timelines.
Field Operations & Maintenance Ensure smooth running of daily operational activities concerning field operations and maintenance across Dry LV utility facilities (including power generation, infrastructure) through provisioning of prompt and efficient service delivery to customers. Contribute to the development and execution of operational strategies aimed at improving the performance of field operations across Dry LV utilities and ensuring the reliability and quality of services offered. Ensure periodic monitoring of on-ground Dry LV utility facilities and Dry LV infrastructure related equipment conditions as per the guidelines and identify opportunities for preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal availability and reliability. Ensure timely allocation of the field workforce to the site in-order to manage normal or disturbed state operations, responding to emergency, and restoring the power supply. Implement corrective actions identified specific to Dry LV utilities during emergencies, operational disruptions, equipment breakdowns, or quality concerns, under the guidance of the leadership team. Support in managing escalations of risks and coordinating responses to minimize operational impact across Dry LV utilities. Proactively manage compliance across processes, guidelines, and operational efficiency measures, within the purview of field operations and maintenance across Dry LV utilities under the guidance of the leadership team Assist in handling escalations related to compliance issues and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Provide relevant inputs to leadership regarding the improvement of operational procedures within the field operations & maintenance function pertaining to Dry LV utilities, substantiating with relevant on-ground data points & functional logs. Ensure supervision of on-ground system maintenance activities, including regular on-site checks, repairs, and component replacements across Dry LV utilities. Ensure compliance with industry standards, laws, regulations, and safety guidelines within field operations and maintenance activities specific to Dry LV utilities. Partner with teams to promote safety, sustainability, quality, production, and reliability within field operations and maintenance functions. Manage oversight & interaction with the PPP Company on aspects around power O&M in terms of reviewing O&M procedures and maintenance schedules received from them, provide alternative periods for rescheduling maintenance schedules whenever necessary & liaise with end user / contractor to confirm on carrying out of planned maintenance activities. Manage the issuance and closure of work permits required to manage power distribution network outages (planned maintenance) in the enterprise asset management (EAM) system and ensure meticulous updating of maintenance records. Manage the power distribution network unplanned outages, including review of rectification plans, providing work permits, closing permits post-rectification, communicating with customers, and updating EAM records. Manage the control and operating of the local power distribution network parameters, coordinate with The PPP Company on high-severity planned outages, and organize field operations for all severity-related network incidents. Manage the monitoring of power distribution network parameters, oversee network analysis, and prepare network load reports in line with operational guidelines. Coordinate with operations following required power distribution network
Risk Management Identify different aspects of risk pertaining to Dry LV utilities field operations and maintenance and develop mitigation measures to negate or minimize the effect of these risks and avoid potential delays as well as added cost. Report regularly on the key business risks specific to Dry LV utilities field operations and maintenance to the management.
Qualification and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar. Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a similar role, preferably large sustainable infrastructure utilities project. Experience in KSA / GCC countries preferred Strong technical and operational understanding of Dry LV Utility systems
