Position Overview

The Senior Resident Engineer – Civil / Hydraulic is responsible for overseeing and supervising the execution of water supply and wastewater networks and related infrastructure works. The role ensures that all construction activities are carried out in full compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable standards, and project schedules, while maintaining high levels of quality, safety, and coordination with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the execution of water supply and wastewater networks, pumping stations, and related civil and hydraulic works.
  • Review, coordinate, and approve shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals in accordance with approved specifications.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with contract requirements, project timelines, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and oversee daily site activities to ensure proper implementation of works.
  • Coordinate with contractors, designers, and client representatives to resolve technical issues and site challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and submit periodic technical and progress reports in both English and Arabic, as required.
  • Review testing, commissioning, and handover documentation and participate in interim and final inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and authority requirements related to water and wastewater infrastructure works.


Skills

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the execution of water supply and wastewater networks, associated infrastructure, and related facilities.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ overall experience in water, wastewater, pipeline networks, and hydraulic engineering works.
  • Proven experience in supervising site works related to water and wastewater projects.
  • Valid professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
  • Prior approval and/or experience working with the National Water Company (NWC) is preferred.
  • Currently based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
  • Available to join immediately.
