We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Chemical QC Lab Specialist to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex analytical testing. Your primary goal is to ensure all products meet stringent industry standards and internal quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities Analytical Testing: Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of petroleum products, including tests for viscosity, density, sulfur content, flash point, water content (Karl Fischer), and gas chromatography (GC). Instrumentation Management: Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. Data Integrity: Accurately record, calculate, and report test results. Identify and investigate any "Out of Specification" (OOS) results. Quality Assurance: Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and participate in internal/external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 or similar standards. Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals. Technical Support: Provide technical insights to the production team based on chemical analysis to optimize refining or blending processes.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field. Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in an analytical laboratory, specifically within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
