We are seeking a meticulous and organized Storekeeper to join our dynamic team at our automotive dealership and distributor in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory and supplies, contributing to the overall operational excellence of our dealership. As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock levels, overseeing the receipt and dispatch of goods, and ensuring that products are stored in a safe and orderly manner. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be vital in optimizing our inventory processes and supporting our sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of automotive parts and supplies, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems, conducting regular stock audits to identify discrepancies.
  3. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to inventory shortages or excesses.
  4. Implement and enforce safety and cleanliness standards within the storeroom, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  5. Assist in the preparation of reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock valuation for management review.
  6. Train and supervise junior staff in inventory management processes and best practices.
  7. Monitor expiration dates on perishable items and ensure timely rotation of stock to minimize waste.
  8. Collaborate with the sales team to forecast inventory needs and ensure that stock levels align with customer demand.
  9. Utilize warehouse management software to track inventory movements and generate reports for operational efficiency.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role within the automotive or retail industry.
  2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
  4. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with suppliers, team members, and management.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Physical stamina to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks as needed.
  8. Knowledge of automotive parts and their specifications is a plus.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills to address inventory-related challenges efficiently.
