Job Purpose
The Water Sports Instructor plays a key role within The Red Sea Project (TRSP), supporting the Senior Water Sports Management in delivering exceptional water sports programs and activating related tourism assets. This guest-facing position involves overseeing daily operations, working closely with hotel operators and the TRSP operations team to ensure seamless service delivery. Instructors are instrumental in creating memorable guest experiences, fostering passion for water sports, and promoting a lifestyle connected to the sea. As ambassadors of The Red Sea Project, they inspire, educate, and exemplify excellence in every aspect of their role.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with venue-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Maintain all equipment, venues, and related assets to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality.

Actively promote and advocate for all water sports activities within the wider TRSP framework, including those beyond their direct scope (e.g., diving).

Participate in regular review meetings with Water Sports Center management to provide operational updates.

Deliver activities in accordance with international rules, regulations, and SOP requirements.

Inspire and encourage guests to explore new activities, advance through training and accreditation, and return to enjoy future water sports experiences.

Assist in preparing timely and accurate management information system (MIS) reports to meet corporate and departmental standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven track record in delivering a wide range of water sports activities in luxury hotel or resort environments.

Minimum 5 years’ experience managing multi-discipline water sports programs in commercial centers or resorts.

Valid First Aid Certificate (minimum 6 months validity at employment start), covering CPR and treatment for hyper/hypothermia.

Recognized Powerboat Helm/Operator license, including rescue techniques.

Instructor-level certification/accreditation in small sailboats (dinghies, catamarans), issued by:

An internationally recognized organization, or
-
A National Sailing Federation with World Sailing-recognized accreditation.

Certification and/or accredited experience in at least one of the following disciplines:

Additional Powerboat certification covering rescue techniques for equipment such as sailboats, kayaks, windsurfers, and kiteboards.

Valid VHF Radio Operator’s license.
