Job Summary:

The Supply Chain & Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the supply chain and procurement functions within the organization. This role involves managing the end-to-end procurement process, building relationships with suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services, and optimizing inventory management. The position requires strong leadership skills, excellent negotiation capabilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain operations to support business objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Management:
  • Lead and oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required for business operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
  1. Supply Chain Optimization:
  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensure timely replenishment, and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Implement strategies to streamline supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., logistics, warehouse, production) to ensure smooth operations and minimize disruptions.
  • Monitor supply chain performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  1. Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure consistent product quality and timely delivery.
  • Resolve any supplier-related issues, such as delays, quality concerns, or disputes.
  • Regularly assess supplier performance using metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve processes, quality standards, and delivery performance.
  1. Budget & Cost Control:
  • Develop and manage the procurement and supply chain budget, ensuring cost efficiency in all purchasing and logistics activities.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Track and report on procurement and supply chain performance against financial and operational targets.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Assess and manage risks within the supply chain, such as supply disruptions, fluctuations in demand, and supplier failures.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Stay informed about market trends, geopolitical issues, and other factors that may affect the supply chain.
  1. Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement and supply chain performance, including inventory levels, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
  • Conduct audits of procurement and supply chain processes to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement and supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Set clear performance goals and objectives for the team, conducting performance reviews and offering feedback.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management and procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement strategies, supplier management, and supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing supply chain processes.
  • Experience in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with supply chain management software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
  • Experience in global procurement and managing international suppliers.
  • Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices and green supply chain initiatives.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional site visits to suppliers, warehouses, or distribution centers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • May require occasional travel for supplier meetings or procurement events.
