The Senior Legal Consultant plays a key role in providing expert legal advice and ensuring the company’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role focuses on drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts, agreements, and memorandums of understanding (MoUs), with a particular emphasis on fostering and managing local and international partnerships. The consultant ensures the protection of the company’s intellectual property, provides strategic legal support, and represents the company in judicial proceedings as necessary.
Major Responsibilities:
Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and MoUs, especially in the context of building and maintaining partnerships with local and international organizations.
- Ensure legal terms and conditions align with corporate policies and safeguard the company’s interests.
Partnership Management
- Provide legal advice on establishing and managing strategic partnerships, ensuring compliance with local and international legal frameworks.
- Support the company in negotiating agreements with government entities, private organizations, and international stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure company activities and partnerships comply with Saudi Companies Law, Government Tenders and Procurement Law, and other relevant regulations.
- Monitor changes in legal requirements affecting partnerships and recommend proactive measures.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with contracts, partnerships, and other business activities.
- Prepare risk assessment reports and propose actionable recommendations.
Intellectual Property Protection
- Advise on intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, patents) and ensure proper protection of the company’s assets in all agreements.
- Draft clauses to secure intellectual property in local and international contracts.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Represent the company in legal disputes, including contract-related conflicts or partnership issues.
- Develop legal strategies and prepare documentation for litigation or arbitration.
Qualifications and Education Requirements (Personal Profile)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in legal consultation, with at least 5 years focused on corporate law and managing partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Law (essential).
- Master’s degree in Law (preferred).
- Fluency in both English and Arabic (speaking, reading and writing) is essential.
- Able to work in a fast paced, changing business environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
