  1. System Installation and Configuration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and server environments (e.g., Windows, Linux, or macOS).
  • Set up and configure hardware, including servers, workstations, network equipment, and storage devices.
  1. Network Management:
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Ensure reliable and secure network connectivity for users, both on-site and remotely.
  • Monitor network traffic and address any issues related to connectivity or bandwidth.
  1. System Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
  • Continuously monitor system and network performance (e.g., CPU, memory usage, disk space).
  • Perform regular system diagnostics and take corrective actions to optimize performance and uptime.
  1. Security Management:
  • Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
  • Regularly apply software updates, security patches, and antivirus software.
  • Monitor security logs and respond to potential threats or vulnerabilities.
  1. Backup and Recovery:
  • Establish and manage backup strategies for systems, data, and critical applications.
  • Regularly test backup systems and ensure quick recovery procedures in case of data loss or system failure.
  1. User Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Provide support for end users regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and network problems in a timely manner.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control systems.


Skills

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Unix).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualized environments (e.g., AWS, VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of security tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with database management (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)), Storage servers , Clould (Asure, …..)
  • Experience in a similar IT systems administration or support role (usually 5+ years).
