To support the Accounting Team of ENOWA in day-to-day activities, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to progress all accounting related issues in a timely manner – escalating where appropriate. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager providing regular updates, and key stakeholders within ENOWA and NEOM. |
ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES The Accountant's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Key Accountabilities & Activities - Coordination with ENOWA Finance and Business teams for preparation of month-end accruals and getting proper support documents from the team to justify the accrual amounts.
- Follow up with the Business Teams to action Pending SES.
- Review of Month end accruals with ENOWA Accounting Manager.
- Inventory accounting and preparation of schedules.
- Perform month-end closing activities in coordination with NEOM Central Finance.
- Review monthly transactions in SAP for correct classifications.
- Balance sheet and Income statement reconciliation schedules.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements to be reviewed with ENOWA Accounting Manager.
- Understanding of how to apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to day-to-day activities of the business.
- Operate within the required SOX controls framework, completing assigned control procedures, and supporting with specified SOX activities.
- Liaise with tax, treasury, FP&A, consolidation, Reporting, internal audit and corporate finance teams.
- Any ad-hoc tasks as required.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Experience - 3+ years experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- 2+ years SAP experience.
- Intermediate – advanced Excel skills.
- Experience of working in a demanding and high-pressure working environment.
- Experience working with diverse teams, and stakeholder groups.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant field.
- Working towards a professional qualification e.g., ACCA/ CA/ CPA, preferred but not essential.
