To work in the Port of Neom inspection area enabling the clearance of a wide variety of products, imported and exported from Saudia Arabia and the GCC. This role requires attention to Safety, Security and Cargo integrity to ensure first class service delivery for customers and stakeholders served by the Port of Neom. A flexible and can-do attitude with a willingness to work flexibly between different inspection operations is a must and requires a go-to approach. Team ethos is key and is the pillar of our inspection team’s ethos to ensure we have a win-win approach in all circumstances, enabling cargo clearance safely and on time.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Responsibilities
Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with the Port of Neom safety standards, following the “See it say it” culture to protect everyone from incident/accident and ensure cargo integrity for beneficial cargo owners.
Aways wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as provided and mandated by the Port of Neom Safety Team.
Efficiently and safely unload (strip) cargo from containers or trucks and load (stuff) cargo back into containers or trucks as requested.
Attend morning TBT’s (toolbox talks) before starting shift to understand priorities and any special instructions.
Inspect incoming trucks and containers as guided by the Shift Supervisor.
Carefully unload cargo, ensuring that items are handled properly to avoid unnecessary damage.
Carefully reload cargo, according to the guidance of the Shift Supervisor upon Customs Authority consent.
Regularly communicate with team members, Shift Supervisor regarding cargo status to avoid delays and ensure cargo integrity from weather and other potential environmental hazards.
Ensure work areas are clean and well organized, and equipment is handled according to SOP’s (standard operating procedures) including parking in the designated zones

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Attention to detail and the ability to store cargo handling information to avoid repeated
mistakes.
Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing
for extended periods of time.
Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, and other
stakeholders (as deemed appropriate based on processes).
Ability to identify issues quickly which may affect safety or cargo and escalate to Shift
Supervision.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders (team player).
Previous Port/Warehouse or Logistics background preferred but not essential.
Previous workplace safety experience preferred, and the ability to explain the Hierarchy
of controls.
