A QA/QC Manager is a crucial role in the construction industry, responsible for ensuring that projects are executed to the highest quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations and specifications. They oversee quality control and quality assurance processes to minimize defects and ensure project success.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality plans, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Establish quality standards and metrics to measure performance.
  • Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor compliance with quality standards.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
  • Verify that materials and workmanship meet project requirements.
  • Identify and document quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Initiate corrective and preventive actions to address quality problems.
  • Implement quality assurance programs to prevent defects and ensure consistency.
  • Review and approve quality records and documentation.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality management system.
  • Lead and manage a team of QA/QC inspectors and technicians.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality concerns.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international building codes and standards.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.


Skills

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Proven experience 10+ as a QA/QC Manager or in a similar role in the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

ISO certifications

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
