• Oversee and manage daily operations of the petrochemical plant or business, ensuring adherence to production schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals, including revenue growth, market expansion, and operational efficiency.

• Manage budgets, cost controls, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and sustainability.

• Lead cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, engineering, sales, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and achieve performance targets.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, including health and safety guidelines.

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, regulatory authorities, and business partners.

• Analyze operational metrics and market trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in production technologies, supply chain management, and product development.

• Oversee risk management strategies, including contingency planning for supply chain disruptions or operational challenges.

• Report on company performance to the board of directors, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategies for improvement.

Skills

• Extensive experience in petrochemical operations, including production, distribution, and regulatory compliance.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and align teams toward common goals.

• In-depth knowledge of the petrochemical industry’s technical, operational, and market dynamics.

• Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking abilities.

• Financial acumen, including expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within the petrochemical sector.

• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging with clients, suppliers, and government bodies.

• Familiarity with petrochemical industry-specific software and ERP systems.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
