Description
We are seeking a skilled Technical Support in Asir to handle preventive and corrective maintenance, propose technical specifications, manage installations, and oversee device relocations. This role also involves training users, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining comprehensive documentation and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
- Perform routine and emergency preventive and corrective maintenance for all computers and peripherals across university locations.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work adheres to the manufacturer's recommendations and standards.
- Technical Specifications:
- Propose technical specifications for new computers and peripherals based on the universitys requirements and future needs.
- Software and Hardware Installation:
- Install new software and peripherals as needed.
- Set up and configure computers and peripherals at user locations to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintenance Procedures:
- Follow detailed procedures for maintenance and installation to guarantee the optimal functioning of all devices.
- Maintain accurate records and schedules for both routine and emergency maintenance activities.
- Device Relocation:
- Technically and professionally manage the relocation of computers and peripherals when required.
- Ensure that devices are reinstalled and configured correctly at their new locations.
- Training and Documentation:
- Provide training and orientation for end-users on new devices and systems.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive manual for computer maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Coordinate with vendors for technical support, updates, and development as needed.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Policy Development:
- Propose and regularly update policies related to computer maintenance operations.
- Ensure policies are aligned with industry standards and the university needs.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on the status of devices, maintenance activities, and any encountered issues or obstacles.
- Provide a detailed monthly report summarizing all completed work for review and approval by the university technical information representative.
