Position Overview:

As a Sales Representative at KM Cargo & Custom Clearance, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and promoting our services in the customs clearance and logistics sectors. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met while contributing to the company’s overall sales objectives and market expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Prospecting:
  • Identify and generate new sales leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals. Focus on expanding the customer base within the logistics and customs clearance industries.
  • Client Engagement:
  • Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients. Understand their unique needs and tailor solutions that align with KM Cargo & Custom Clearance services.
  • Product Knowledge & Presentation:
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the company's services, including logistics solutions, cargo management, and customs clearance. Present tailored service packages to potential clients and highlight the value-added benefits of partnering with KM Cargo & Custom Clearance.
  • Sales Negotiation & Closing:
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing. Negotiate terms and pricing to secure contracts while ensuring a mutually beneficial agreement for both the company and the client.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Work closely with operations and compliance teams to ensure seamless delivery of services, providing customers with exceptional service and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Sales Reporting & Target Tracking:
  • Monitor and report on sales activities, including lead generation, client meetings, conversions, and revenue performance. Stay on track to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics. Provide feedback to the management team on potential areas for business growth and service improvements.
  • Customer Retention:
  • Follow up with client's post-sale to ensure satisfaction and to address any ongoing needs or issues, aiming to build long-term, loyal relationships.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics, shipping, or customs clearance industries.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and close sales effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to generating leads and meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and sales tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics sales.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex sales processes.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, client-facing role with regular travel to meet with prospects and clients.
  • The role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
