Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying potential cost overruns.
- Interim Payment Applications: Prepare and submit accurate Interim Payment Applications, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project milestones.
- Measurement and Valuation: Conduct measurements and valuations of work completed, ensuring accurate assessment of quantities and quality of work.
- Contract Administration: Assist in the administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and addressing any disputes that arise.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including forecasts, cash flow statements, and cost analyses, to support project management decisions.
- Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify that work is being carried out according to specifications and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and coordination of project activities.
- Cost Control: Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings throughout the project.
Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on Interim Payment Applications.
Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders.
