This role involves using advanced surveying equipment and techniques to ensure the building’s foundations, structures, and utilities are accurately positioned according to design plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Assessment and Initial Surveys:
• Conduct comprehensive topographical, boundary, and control surveys for the project site.
• Identify and mark reference points, boundaries, and other critical locations to establish the project’s layout.
2. Stakeout and Layout:
• Set out and monitor positions for foundations, columns, and other structural elements, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Confirm elevations and alignments using GPS, total station, and other surveying instruments.
3. Data Collection and Analysis:
• Gather, record, and interpret data from surveys to develop site plans, blueprints, and maps.
• Use CAD software or BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools to update and maintain accurate site plans.
4. Coordination with Project Team:
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure surveying data aligns with project requirements.
• Adjust and verify stakeout points as needed based on project progress and any design modifications.
5. Quality Control and Documentation:
• Maintain and document all surveying activities, including daily logs, data files, and calibration records.
• Prepare detailed reports and as-built documentation at various project stages to verify compliance.
