Senior Reliability Engineer

The Senior Reliability Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the reliability of critical plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This role emphasizes vibration analysis, oil analysis, and predictive maintenance strategies, applying engineering expertise to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement in plant operations. This position is crucial for improving the reliability of mechanical systems within a high-demand cement manufacturing environment.


Skills

1. Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics

  * Perform and lead advanced vibration analysis to detect early signs of equipment wear, imbalance, misalignment, and resonance issues.

  * Conduct oil analysis for lubrication optimization, identifying contamination, wear particles, and lubrication degradation.

  * Collaborate with maintenance teams to implement corrective actions based on predictive diagnostics.

2. Reliability and Predictive Maintenance Programs

  * Develop and enhance reliability programs focused on maximizing equipment uptime, including vibration, oil, thermography, and ultrasonic analysis.

  * Implement and improve Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies to preemptively address equipment failures and optimize maintenance schedules.

  * Maintain documentation and tracking of equipment condition, health indicators, and intervention histories.

3. Data Analysis and Reporting

  * Utilize specialized software for data acquisition and analysis to identify reliability trends and performance indicators.

  * Generate detailed reports, including root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommendations for improvements.

4. Failure Analysis and Continuous Improvement

  * Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for chronic reliability issues, recommending and implementing solutions.

  * Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment design, selection, and operating practices.

5. Technical Expertise and Training

  * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in vibration and oil analysis techniques.

  * Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team’s skill in predictive maintenance practices.


Qualifications and Skills:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

* 8+ years of experience in reliability engineering within heavy industry, ideally in cement or related sectors.

* Proficiency in vibration analysis tools (e.g., CSI, SKF, or Emerson) and oil analysis techniques.

* Strong understanding of predictive maintenance practices and diagnostic tools.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.

* Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or similar reliability-related certification is preferred.
