High-level Job Purpose Statement
Supervise workshop and reception staff for the complete and proper execution of repair orders by the automotive technicians in accordance with KIA guidelines policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Service Workshop Operations
- Ensure quality of work through the proper use of tools, testing devices and workshop facilities
- Optimize use of work bays in the workshop
- Provide expert guidance and support for technicians in the diagnosis of difficult repairs
- Organize order management according to technician qualifications in coordination with Service Advisors
- Organize parts supply for technicians
- Monitor quality and punctuality of all repair/maintenance work ordered from external service providers
- Implement internal quality measures and processes for corrective action when required
- Contribute in the annual service budget preparation.
- Monitor WIPs and CITs.
- Produce and submit regular reports to National Service Manager on the branch performance and areas of improvement.
Service Workshop Health and Safety
- Ensure proper handling and storage of waste products and materials in accordance with waste disposal regulations
- Monitor adherence to environmental protection regulations
- Ensure that the workshop is well organized and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Ensure compliance with all safety and accident preventions regulations
Staff Management
- Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Ensure efficient information flow to all productive staff
- Manage, instruct and motivate workshop staff; appraises employees, provide continuous feedback on performance
- Provides mentoring, counselling and discipline as required
Minimum Requirements for the Role
Qualifications
University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field
Experience
4+ years’ experience in automotive industry; 2 Years of experience in a Supervisory role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills; MS-Office (Advanced Excel).
In-depth knowledge of various service jobs.
Fluent in English and Arabic.
Excellent interpersonal skills
