Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer with 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in purchasing, supplier management, and cost analysis. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support our organization’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Execute purchasing strategies to acquire goods and services at the best possible prices while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favourable agreements.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure product availability and minimize excess stock.
- Cost Analysis: Analyz pricing structures, assess total cost of ownership, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Compliance: Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market conditions to inform management decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma with Procurement experience, or related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
