Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and assess compliance with safety standards.
- Lead risk assessments and safety evaluations for projects, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, preparing reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate employees on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and developing strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers and departments to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and best practices related to health, safety, and environmental management.
Skills
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in HSE management software and tools.
