Healthcare Talent Manager

Role Purpose

Lead projects in the Academia & Talent team in developing and implementing a workforce strategy for a fully integrated health and wellbeing system for NEOM pioneers and future residents and visitors aligned with NEOM’s vision.

The manager has an active role in developing content and supporting processes related to the health system workforce to develop healthcare workforce and talent development initiatives and projects.

The manager is responsible for leading teams and for guiding them in gathering the relevant information and compiling reports, to align with internal stakeholders to produce healthcare workforce strategy of the evolving healthcare system components.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Strategy, Planning and Coordination

  • Support in the development of the healthcare workforce strategy of the healthcare system
  • Assist and prepare output presentation of the research and analysis performed
  • Align with internal and external stakeholders related to healthcare workforce.
  • Assist in reassessments of targets and implementation plans accordingly to new and/or changed master plans

Project delivery and Risk Management

  • Support in the management and delivery of sector projects, as required,
  • Support in the preparation reports for leadership on the current and forecasted progress/completion of key assets and initiatives, with executive levels insights on key assets, requirements, and risks
  • Plan and lead assigned tasks and projects, and proactively monitor and mitigate risks
  • Provide periodic reports regarding project progress, challenges, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Actively take part of and contribute in workshops and activities related to health system design activities

Administration and Contract Management

  • Support on administrative tasks as required for contract management
  • Assist in developing scope of work documents to support new contract establishment or renewal of existing contracts
  • Support in monitoring and evaluation of contract delivery and project performance
  • Support in all external communications activities (incl. internal/external marketing of the sector, maintaining promotional materials, developing strategic communications, etc.)

Relationship and Stakeholder Management

  • Support in sector or division meetings, preparing meeting inputs (identifying discussion points, etc) and gathering input and feedback during and after meeting as it relates to strategy, planning, risks, etc.
  • Collate stakeholders’ feedback on issues, challenges and unmet requirements and develop action plans
  • Act as a role model for the sector in interaction with other sectors and departments

People Management

  • Assist team to perform their operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
  • Promote a high-performance working environment embracing NEOM’s values

Knowledge And Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience workforce, healthcare, biotechnology or medical education sector and;
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in health sector and healthcare workforce planning
  • Relevant experience in formulating strategic and analytical recommendations
  • Ability to research, formulate insights, and communicate clearly and concisely (both orally and in writing)
  • Needs to have proven experience of independently managing workloads

Education and Certifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in health science majors or Business Administration, (or equivalent) is required
  • Master’s in public health, business administration, medicine or related topics is required
