Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Management:
  • Receiving Goods: Check and record incoming shipments for accuracy, inspect for damage, and ensure proper storage.
  • Stock Control: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that stock is replenished as needed and minimizing overstock or shortages.
  • Stock Rotation: Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or other stock rotation practices to reduce waste and ensure older stock is used first.
  1. Storage and Organization:
  • Shelving: Organize and store goods in a systematic manner to maximize space and facilitate easy access.
  • Labeling: Label shelves and items clearly for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Safety: Ensure that the storage area is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  1. Order Fulfillment:
  • Picking: Select and prepare items for shipment or distribution according to orders.
  • Packing: Pack goods securely and accurately for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
  • Shipping: Coordinate with shipping carriers and track outgoing shipments.
  1. Record Keeping:
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, receipts, and shipments.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular inventory reports, highlighting stock levels, discrepancies, and any issues.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Inspection: Inspect goods for quality and accuracy upon receipt and during storage.
  • Returns: Manage returns and exchanges, ensuring that returned items are restocked or disposed of properly.
  1. Equipment Management:
  • Tools: Operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners.
  • Maintenance: Ensure that equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or issues.
