Job Role: Electrical Engineer - Medium Voltage
- Plan & Conduct the maintenance (preventive, corrective and breakdown) of all MV system in the most efficient and effective manner, making sure that jobs are done in the quickest and most cost-effective way, keeping in mind quality and safety protocols
- Organize and schedule maintenance activities and operations.
- Propose solutions to optimize the safety and performance of equipment (monitoring)
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include budgeting, planning, managing Medium Voltage Systems in additional to MV standby generators.
- Plan & implement preventive & corrective maintenance for MV systems regularly.
- Prepare & submit final as-built drawings, operation, maintenance manual and other necessary manufacturer’s documents.
- Keep up with the technological changes and trends in the Medium Voltage power distribution field.
- Participation in the improvement of maintenance procedures for MV substations, transformers, switchgears.
- Inspects, tests, troubleshoots, perform start-ups, and collects data of medium voltage electrical systems, and power metering.
- Develops engineering solutions to avoid failure and all other problems that affect electrical installation.
- Detect the origin of a breakdown establish a diagnostic and analysing the root cause of all electrical installation.
- Advice and train users on equipment & Update technical data
- Maintenance and management of the maintenance reporting
- Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- maintain transformers, capacitors, insulators, lightning arrestors, switches, circuit breakers, and other accessories used in connection with medium-voltage distribution.
- Understand and comply with all company safety and environmental regulations, including safe work
- Ensure that work order is generated (in coordination with optimization team) for all electrical work performed & update information correctly.
- Responsible to maintain safety and discipline in the work area

Skills
Qualifications
Experience:
- 4 to 5 years in MV maintenance system.
- Experience in supervisory role mandatory: 3 years
Education
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology, or equivalent experience
Requirement
- Good experience in substations, including troubleshooting, commissioning, and construction support
- Detailed Knowledge of equipment: low voltage, medium voltage, circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motors, PT’s, CT’s, CCVT’s, load banks, generators.
- Good experience with Siemens MV switch gears and transformers
- Good experience for maintenance the generators stations and building electrical circuits plus the ATS panels
- Familiar with SCADA systems for MV networks
- Experience with Medium Voltage standards and codes
- Conversant with technical/ parts manuals, and drawings
- Fully conversant with safety procedures
- Good communication skills / Advanced English and Arabic
