Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates and manages the clinical care of patients in the GP and Peripheral Clinics.
- Supervise the GP’s in their daily duties.
- Acts as Clinical Consultant with problematic cases for the other GP’s.
- Liaises with the Chief of FCMD on medical education, both continuing medical education of clinical staff and primary education of medical students within the GP and Peripheral Clinics.
- Responsible for orientation of new medical staff within the GP and Peripheral Clinics.
- Ensures medical staff comply with hospital PPG’s and terms and conditions.
- Participates in on-call duties within the Family & Community Medicine Department.
- Responsible for preparation of duty rosters for GP’s and Peripheral Clinics.
