As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a shift in a fast-paced environment. - Lead and supervise assigned teams during their shifts to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned utilities systems
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, resolve minor issues, and escalate critical situations according to established protocols
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and maintenance schedules. Coordinate activities with other teams and departments to maintain seamless service delivery
- Respond to emergencies and unplanned events in a timely and effective manner
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all plant operations and maintenance activities
- Prepare and submit reports to management as required
- Budget and control expenses for the utility plant
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in utility management
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience or more in the utilities industry, preferably in operations, maintenance, or customer service. Supervisory experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Knowledge of the specific utility they are applying to (e.g., water, power, gas) and its regulations is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of utility systems, equipment, and processes is essential
- Bachelor's degree in degree in a related field like engineering, technology, or business administration is preferred.
