Position: Transportation Supervisor

Location: Riyadh

Salary:  SAR 9,000 - SAR 10,000

Role Purpose

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the transportation department, ensuring that all transportation activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role includes supervising a team of drivers, managing vehicle maintenance, and optimizing transportation routes and schedules to achieve operational excellence.

Accountabilities & Duties:

Supervising loading and offloading of goods:

·      Properly securing goods for transport improves transit efficiency and ensures items arrive safely at their destination without damage or loss while avoiding any potential hazards.

Ensuring compliance with laws and industry regulations:

·      Following safety protocols helps to keep personnel safe and protects a company's reputation. Ensuring compliance can minimize legal liabilities during transit operations.

·      Supervisors of transportation operations monitor driver hours and ensure they follow safe driving practices, complying with relevant laws and safety protocols. They monitor for any signs of fatigue to reduce the risk of injury or accidents.

·      Ensures that Company vehicles carry only the permitted loads on the highway.

·      Ensures the establishment of controls and guidelines for the supply and issue of fuel from the Company’s gasoline stations.

·      Filling insurance claim forms for vehicles in case of accident/damage/loss and providing required documents for insurance settlement through Corporate Services.

Inspecting vehicles:

·      Ensuring that vehicles are safe and in working order can protect personnel.

·      Inspect vehicles to ensure they're up to date about maintenance, hold the necessary safety equipment, and meet all applicable regulations.

Fleet Management:

·      Oversee the maintenance and servicing of the company's fleet of vehicles.

·      Ensure all vehicles are in proper working condition and compliant with safety regulations.

·      Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers for repairs, maintenance, and inspections.

·      Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and overall fleet performance.

·      Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet efficiency and reduce costs.

People Management:

·      Managing staff, including drivers and warehouse personnel, motivating teams,

·      Conducts regular inspections to ensure work quality, performance, and production and to ensure that staff performance is meeting established standards and expectations.

• Performing any other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Experience & Qualification:

·   Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

• 4 years’ experience in same field
