Provide top quality care for patients with skin, hair, nails, and other dermatological conditions. This includes but is not limited to:
Taking patient's medical history, conducting a physical examination, and ordering diagnostic tests.Using appropriate techniques to diagnose and treat skin ailments.Creating treatment plans based on diagnostic results and patient medical history/records.Prescribing courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.Recording treatment, procedure rendered, and observed effects.Monitoring progress/effectiveness of treatment for patients; update treatment plans as needed.Performing surgical and cosmetic services as appropriate.Educating patients and other concerned parties about treatment options and alternatives.Educating patients on preventive skin and dermatological care.
Lead and direct the performance of the team assigned in the Dermatology Unit; communicate with assistants and other team members to ensure therapies are being administered properly.Treat every patient with respect and compassion and ensure compliance with current medical bylaws and ethics.Adhere to infection control procedures including the use of personal protective equipment, disposal of waste, aseptic technique, and high-level disinfection.Ensure with the BME Team that all equipment is properly assembled, operates, cleaned, and stored at the end of each work shift. Ensure preventive maintenance and routine cleaning are performed as directed.Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations. Attend conferences to network with Dermatology professionals and learn about new treatments and research.Role reports to Chief of Dermatology.
Profile
MD, Fellowship or Board Certified in Dermatology.5 Years experience post the academic degree.BLS certified.Valid MOH License as a Dermatology Consultant.Knowledge of current dermatology best practices.Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments utilized in dermatology procedures.Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public.Conversant with all National and International Health Care Accreditation Standards.
