JOB DESCRIPTION & RECRUITMENT CRITERIA
Position: IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Technician
1. Job Description
The IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Technician will perform industrial rope-access activities for inspection, maintenance, repair, installation, and other work-at-height operations. The technician must be capable of safely using rope-access systems and equipment while complying with applicable HSE requirements, site procedures, and client standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
Perform rope-access work at height using approved rope-access techniques and equipment.
Carry out inspection, maintenance, repair, installation, and other assigned industrial activities.
Set up and use rope systems, anchors, work-positioning systems, and associated equipment.
Conduct pre-use inspections of ropes, harnesses, connectors, and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow approved Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Safe Work Procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment and comply strictly with HSE requirements.
Assist with rope-access rescue and emergency procedures when required.
Support and work effectively with other rope-access technicians and site personnel.
Report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, incidents, and near misses to the responsible supervisor.
Maintain proper documentation and work records as required by the client.
Perform other duties related to rope-access operations as assigned.
3. Recruitment Criteria
Mandatory Requirements
Valid IRATA Level 2 certification.
Relevant experience in industrial rope access.
Practical experience working at height in industrial, construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, maintenance, or similar environments.
Good knowledge of rope-access techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
Ability to perform basic rope-access rescue and related Level 2 techniques.
Physically fit and medically capable of working at height.
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow site HSE requirements.
Willingness to work in challenging industrial environments and at elevated locations.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
Experience in inspection, maintenance, mechanical works, painting, blasting, installation, or other industrial rope-access activities.
Previous experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, construction, or industrial maintenance projects.
Additional relevant technical qualifications or trade certification.
Previous overseas or GCC work experience is an advantage.
Desired Candidate Profile
Position: IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Technician
Number of Required Personnel: 20
Work Location: Saudi Arabia – work may be at stadiums and other project locations.
Salary: SAR 2,500–2,800 per month
Food & Accommodation: Provided by the company
Overtime (OT): No overtime
Experience: IRATA Level 2 with relevant Rope Access experience
Educational Qualification: Not required; relevant experience is required
Certification: Valid IRATA Level 2 certification
Working Hours: 10 hours per day, including break
