Job Title: Safety and Security Engineer - Infrastructure Projects. Job Objective: To implement and develop safety, security, and occupational health plans at major infrastructure project sites. Focus on assessing and managing high-level risks associated with deep excavation works, heavy machinery, and confined space work, ensuring project compliance with all government regulations and engineering standards for the safety of workers and the public surrounding the project. Key Duties and Responsibilities for Infrastructure Projects:

• Excavation and Earthworks Risk Management: Oversee the safety of deep excavation works and ensure the implementation of shoring systems to prevent landslides.
• Road Safety and Traffic Diversions: Design and review temporary Traffic Management Plans in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of pedestrians and drivers around work areas.
• Confined Space Safety Management: Develop and implement strict safety procedures and work permits for entry and work inside tunnels, large pipe networks, and underground tanks.
• Heavy Machinery and Equipment Monitoring: Verify inspection and safety certificates for heavy equipment (cranes, excavators, bulldozers) and ensure the competence and licensing of their operators (Riggers & Operators).
• Environmental and Groundwater Safety Management: Monitor environmental risks associated with infrastructure projects, such as dewatering operations, construction waste management, and dust and noise control.
• Daily Field Inspection and Auditing: Conduct inspection tours of extended work sites (roads, networks) to ensure all contractors and subcontractors adhere to the "Occupational Health, Safety, and Sustainability Management Plan."
• Emergency Plans for Open Sites: Develop and update evacuation and emergency plans for open projects to address natural disasters (such as floods and rain) or sudden structural collapses. Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • Professional Accreditation: Valid professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
