The Role of Project Execution Lead

Siemens Digital Industries is seeking a Project Execution Lead to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves leading the execution of control system projects, ensuring solutions meet technical specifications and industry standards. The Project Execution Lead will play a central role in delivering complex automation and digitalization projects for various industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement control system solutions for projects in accordance with customer technical specifications, standards, and engineering practices.
• Formulate concepts for complex customer requirements and create project specifications, including necessary clarifications with suppliers and customers, primarily for Water Distribution systems, Chemical & Petrochemical, Oil & Gas related SCADA (On-shore & Off-shore installations), and ESD systems.
• Manage software engineering and integration of third-party systems during the engineering phase, alongside hardware planning and monitoring of control cabinet production, collaborating with engineering partners and subcontractors in Saudi Arabia and global engineering centers.
• Conduct functional tests, optimizations, acceptance, and delivery processes to the customer, including internal tests, factory acceptance tests, and integration tests.
• Prepare, create, review, and update all necessary project documentation.
• Provide technical support for bidding processes and collaborate effectively with the Bidding team.
• Maintain regular updates on project execution, team performance, and key developments, ensuring accurate and timely communication and escalation of relevant information to management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or a similar field) is preferred.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of working experience, with a background in both operational business (project & service) and non-operational functions (bidding).
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in engineering and commissioning on Siemens DCS/SCADA – PCS 7, having completed the project cycle for major customer installations.
• Certification in Project Management (*, PMP certification) is preferred.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Ability to undertake technical lead tasks and manage subprojects within broader automation projects.
• Comprehensive overview of the Siemens product range and its integration into automation and digitization solutions, including third-party products and competitor product features for interfacing.
• Sound knowledge of OT Cybersecurity concepts and practical experience with OTCC deployments for customers.
• Sound know-how of AI-based platforms and an eagerness to work with the latest technologies.
• Intercultural experience and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for deployment (approximately 40% travel).
