About the Role

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in Entrepreneurship. This role is based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and involves dual affiliation with the KFUPM Business School (KBS) and the Entrepreneurship Institute (EI). The university seeks a dynamic faculty member to champion both KBS and EI, along with their related academic programs and initiatives.

About KFUPM Business School and Entrepreneurship Institute

The KFUPM Business School (KBS) was the first business school in the region to receive AACSB accreditation over 10 years ago. It offers five * degrees in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, and MIS, in addition to three graduate programs: Professional Masters (MX) in Supply Chain Management, MBA, and EMBA degrees. KBS aims to enhance its global academic rank through top-quality research and excellence in education. The Entrepreneurship Institute (EI) is an interdisciplinary entity collaborating with all university colleges, dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial mindsets for high-growth, high-tech startups and developing entrepreneurial leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in academic planning and advising.
• Teaching classes within various academic programs in both KBS and the EI, including all ENTR-related courses, BUS200 (Business & Entrepreneurship), an eventual Entrepreneurship Minor and certificate program, and various entrepreneurship-related student organizations.
• Engaging in related research initiatives.
• Actively participating in the college’s and institute’s co-curricular activities and short courses.
• Mentoring students involved in entrepreneurial activities, such as the EI incubator program and those working on entrepreneurship course projects.
• Cultivating relationships within the University.
• Collaboratively defining and maintaining the quality of students’ experiences within both KBS and the EI.
• Teaching courses on-campus at both the EI and the KBS, with possible distance teaching assignments.
• Participating in case-writing initiatives and projects.
• Involvement in related committee work on Entrepreneurship Education, including ventures creation, fundraising, and promoting all entrepreneurship-associated curricular and co-curricular activities.
• Meeting traditional requirements of excellence in teaching and service to the University and community.
