The Incumbent will be responsible to carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in the FTP/RMHS area of an integrated steel plant. The candidate should have hands-on experience in maintaining motors, MCCs, drives, conveyors, switchgear, and other electrical systems to ensure safe and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in FTP/RMHS.
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain LT panels, MCCs, PCCs, transformers, VFDs, soft starters, switchgear, and control panels.
• Attend maintenance of conveyor systems, stackers, reclaimers, crushers, feeders, screens, and associated equipment.
• Inspect and maintain AC/DC motors, lighting systems, cable networks, and earthing systems.
• Monitor equipment health and carry out routine inspections to improve reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with mechanical, operation, and instrumentation teams during maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, job reports, and spare parts consumption.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment as required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Raw Material Handling System (RMHS) and/or Finished Product/FTP operations within an integrated steel plant.
• Exposure to Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Rockwell, or similar industrial electrical systems.
• Experience in shutdown planning and maintenance execution.
