About the Role

Lino Fast Food Buffet in Medina is seeking a Cashier Accountant to join its team on a full-time basis. The role holder will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions and delivering excellent customer service, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all cash operations.

Job Purpose

The primary task of the cashier accountant is to process all payments efficiently and accurately, manage the cash available in the till, and ensure sales are reconciled at the end of each shift. The role also involves direct interaction with customers to meet their purchase-related requests.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Count and record cash at the start of the shift, and ensure an adequate supply of small denominations.
• Receive cash payments or payments by credit cards or other approved methods, settle the remaining amounts, and issue the necessary receipts.
• Regularly update price lists, calculate prices of goods or services, prepare invoices, and apply discounts when necessary.
• Reconcile cash receipts with total sales at the end of the shift, and report or resolve any discrepancies.
• Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, and accommodate requests to add or remove items from purchase lists.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience of two to five years in a role related to cashier accountant or cashier.
• Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and courteous customer service.
• Commitment to accuracy and honesty in financial dealings.
