As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Operations Director to provide strategic leadership across project delivery, commercial performance, business development and operational excellence. About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take responsibility for the operational performance of a regional portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with Project Directors and leadership teams to improve delivery performance, strengthen governance, drive commercial success and support continued business growth.
Responsibilities
Lead operational performance across a portfolio of major engineering and infrastructure projects. Improve project governance, delivery standards and operational efficiency. Support Project Directors throughout project mobilisation, execution and close-out. Drive commercial performance, profitability and forecasting across the portfolio. Optimise resource planning and utilisation across multiple projects. Build strong relationships with key clients and senior stakeholders. Lead resolution of commercial and project delivery challenges. Support strategic business planning and operational improvement initiatives. Lead major bids and proposals from qualification through to submission and client presentations. Work alongside technical and commercial teams to develop winning strategies for new opportunities. Mentor, develop and lead multidisciplinary teams across the region. Contribute to the continued growth of the business across Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.15+ years' experience within engineering consultancy or professional services. Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary engineering project portfolios. Strong commercial and financial management capability. Experience managing major bids, proposals and client pursuits. Proven ability to improve operational performance and project governance. Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working across Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC is highly desirable. Chartered Engineer, PMP or equivalent professional accreditation would be advantageous.
