We are looking for a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards at the workplace. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure employees use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
- Monitor work permits for high-risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, lifting operations, and working at heights.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, local regulations, and company safety policies.
- Coordinate emergency response activities, fire drills, and evacuation procedures.
- Monitor housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work closely with supervisors and employees to promote a strong safety culture.
- Stop unsafe work practices and recommend immediate corrective actions when necessary.
Desired Candidate Profile
2-5 years of experience in a similar role within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry
Required Qualifications
- Diploma holder in Any Specialization; NEBOSH IGC certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Aramco's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and practices.
- Proficiency in OHSAS 18001:2007 standard; knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 an added advantage.
