Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Summary The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting the reliability, integrity, and performance of mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, improving asset reliability, conducting failure analysis, and supporting maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide engineering support for mechanical equipment and maintenance activities. Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Support preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs. Troubleshoot issues related to rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, and material handling equipment. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial environments such as smelting, mining, steel, or similar industries. Strong knowledge of mechanical integrity and asset reliability programs. Experience with rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, and material handling equipment. Professional Engineer (P. E.) certification is preferred. Technical Skills Knowledge of reliability methodologies (RCA, FMEA, PdM). Familiarity with engineering standards such as ASME, API, and ANSI. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
